about

This is Cuban rumba guaguancó. I wrote lyrics in English, Philip rendered them into Spanish, Pescao tweaked them into rumba. We added Jesús and Ricky, two of San Francisco's finest rumba percussionists.

lyrics

Life is hard enough in itself / Without adding war to that / And the destruction of the earth / With malignant frenzy. / Already old, I discovered / That to move forward / Put the heart in front / And learn well that to love / Both to give and to accept / Is your ongoing task. / (chorus) We come to this world / To learn how to love
