Corculum cardissa is the heart cockle, as in "warm the cockles of my." The rhythm is reminiscent of Colombian cumbia, except cumbia is in 2/4 and this is in 3/4. Anna Patton's overdubbed clarinets play a lively, inviting call-and-response tune.
