about

A slow, funky but twisty and strange rhythm played on congas, tanbou (see "Littorina littorea") and talkiing drum, with a melody (of sorts) played on two log drums. Crepidula fornicata, the common Atlantic slipper shell, gets its name because snails attach their shells to the back of one another, creating long chains. Apparently the great naturalist Linnaeus, who named this species, saw this as something of an orgy.
