about

"Too Happy to Sleep" is in the vein of West African dance songs by bands like Nigeria's Monomono, Ghana's Hedzolah Sounds, and the Oakland band I played with for five years, Ken Okulolo's Kotoja. It's a song about my wife, or, more precisely, how she makes me feel.
